A TS700B cartridge with CRV protection will not explode, even if the high temperature causes excessive pressure in the cartridge. Under these circumstances, gas is released through the bleed valves at the top of the cartridge, preventing property damage and even fatal injury from an explosion. Valve cartridges can be connected and disconnected without having to empty them completely.
